Out of all the RBs I could've drafted, I just so happened to pick the one who got hurt during the preseason (Le'Veon Bell, PIT) , so I was left scrambling for a backup. Just my luck.
I generally draft very RB-heavy, but, somehow, that didn't turn out to be the case this season. My next best bench option was Ronnie Hillman (DEN), who has been an absolute disaster this preseason, so I was forced to make a trade.
I put all my WRs on the trading block (Calvin Johnson, Andre Johnson, Steve Johnson & Eric Decker), but didn't get any offers, to my chagrin. So, I attempted to trade Megatron & Ronnie Hillman for Trent Richardson (CLE) but was rejected. I also made an offer for Marshawn Lynch (SEA), CJ Spiller (BUF) and Matt Forte (CHI), but got shot down on all them. So I had to get creative.
The deal ended up being:

Granted, one of the two might surprise, but I'm not counting on it. And Bernard already looks like a workhorse for Cincy, even with BenJarvus Green-Ellis (RB - CIN) still in the picture. To give you an idea, Bernard has outscored BGE 3 to 0 during the preseason and is averaging 4.3 YDS/ATT (27 carries for 116 YDS), compared to BGE's 3.5 (10 carries for 35 YDS). So, I definitely think he'll be the man for the Bengals -- perhaps as soon as Week 1.
